When history is written, the period in which we live will be known as The Crime Time. I am Don Campagna and this is The CrimeTimeNews.

The object of this site is to accumulate a record of historical significance. You are encouraged to contribute matters of interest to you. Over time the format of this publication will change but, the purpose will not.
About the Writer: I am a former Police Chief with two Associate Degrees, a Bachelors and a Masters in Criminal Justice. I wrote the South Carolina Criminal Justice Academy's course of study for the Uniform Crime Report. My first publishing experience came in the 1970's when the International Chief's of Police picked-up a graduate school paper on privacy and security issues for criminal justice information system operators.
The CrimeTimeNews will, in time become the site of choice for those who take a keen interest in crime stories. I spend countless hours daily searching for the most interesting reports worldwide. What I find, I will share with you.
Most people are familiar with the just completed trial in Germany of a cannibal who met his willing victim online. What you may not know so much about is the Butcher of Hamburg who, during the 20's and 30's sold body part to unsuspecting meat merchants. It is that kind of current events coupled with historical perspective that you will find here.
